Is there a free trial?
Yes — 30 days with full access to every feature. We collect your card at signup so your account converts seamlessly after the trial, but you're not charged anything until day 31. Cancel anytime during the trial and you pay nothing.
Can I cancel anytime?
Absolutely. No long-term contracts or cancellation fees. Cancel from your dashboard before day 30 and you won't be charged at all.
What happens after my trial ends?
On day 31, your card is charged for your chosen plan: Professional at £9.99/month per pro, or Team at £15.99/month flat for up to 12 team members. We'll email you a reminder a few days before the trial ends.
Do you take a cut of my bookings?
No. CHAIR is a flat monthly subscription. We never take a percentage of your bookings — the only deduction on a card payment is Stripe's standard processing fee, which lands the rest of the money directly in your account.
What happens if a customer disputes a payment?
A dispute (also called a chargeback) is when a customer asks their bank to reverse a payment — for example, claiming they didn't recognise the charge or didn't receive the service. Stripe charges a £20 fee per dispute. Because card payments land directly in your Stripe account (CHAIR never holds your money), both the £20 fee and the disputed amount come out of your balance while the case is investigated. You then submit evidence through Stripe's dispute dashboard — booking confirmations, reminder emails, and your CHAIR message history are all admissible. If you win, Stripe refunds the £20 and releases the funds. If you lose, the fee and the disputed amount stay deducted. To reduce disputes: enable deposits on first-time bookings, keep automated reminders switched on (they double as proof of consent), and remember that your business name — not CHAIR's — appears on the customer's bank statement, so they recognise the charge straight away.
